We are in the About Magazine! August 2026 Edition

Bay & Basin Bush Potters Featured in the About Magazine

We’re very excited to share that Bay & Basin Bush Potters has been featured in our local About Magazine! 🤍

It was lovely to see our pottery group in print and to have the opportunity to share a little about who we are, what happens at our Arts Cottage and the community that has grown around a shared love of clay.

A Local Magazine with a Special Place in Our Community

For many years, About Magazine has been delivered to letterboxes throughout the Bay & Basin, sharing local news, events, stories and information from around our region.

It’s one of those familiar local publications that people pick up, have a read through and discover something happening just around the corner that they may never have known about.

With About Magazine now preparing to move fully digital, we feel especially lucky to have had Bay & Basin Bush Potters included in one of its final printed editions.

Sharing the Story of Bush Potters

Our group has been part of the Bay & Basin community for more than 30 years, but we’re still regularly meeting locals who tell us they had no idea we were here!

That’s why opportunities like this mean so much to a small community group like ours.

Our feature gives readers a glimpse into Bush Potters and the welcoming creative community behind it. Our members come with all different levels of pottery experience, from people picking up clay for the first time to potters who have been creating for many years.

But Bush Potters has always been about more than what comes out of the kiln.

It’s about creativity, connection and community. It’s having somewhere to come each week, learning from one another, sharing ideas, making friendships and enjoying a cuppa and a chat while our hands are busy with clay.

And, of course, there are always plenty of laughs along the way!

Thank You, About Magazine 🤍

A big thank you to the team behind About Magazine and our local Bendigo Bank for supporting such a wonderful community publication.

Giving local groups, organisations and people a place to share their stories helps keep our community connected and shines a light on so many of the wonderful things happening throughout the Bay & Basin.

We’re very proud to have our little pottery community included.

If you received a printed copy, keep an eye out for us! 👀

And if you missed it in your letterbox, you can also read About Magazine online:
